Need Help?

Let’s talk about Medicare

You don’t need to have it all figured out. I’m here to help with your needs.

Every year, Medicare Advantage plans change. Sometimes the changes are small, and sometimes they’re big enough to surprise you when you visit the doctor’s office.

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that Humana works hard to stay consistent. That makes planning for the future easier and more predictable. Their Medicare Advantage plans may adjust to remain competitive, but they don’t swing wildly from year to year.

That kind of steadiness matters. Once you get used to your benefits, you don’t want them flipped upside down the following fall. Humana’s Medicare Advantage plans give people a little peace of mind, and that’s worth a lot.

Why I Often Recommend Humana

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that Humana works hard to stay consistent. That makes planning for the future easier and more predictable. Their Medicare Advantage plans may adjust to remain competitive, but they don’t swing wildly from year to year.

That kind of steadiness matters. Once you get used to your benefits, you don’t want them flipped upside down the following fall. Humana’s Medicare Advantage plans give people a little peace of mind, and that’s worth a lot.

Another reason I like their plans is the out-of-pocket maximums (OOPMax). Humana’s HMO Advantage plans have some of the lowest OOPMax in East Tennessee. If you ever have a serious health event and medical bills pile up, that cap is what stops the financial bleeding. After you reach it, the plan covers all approved in-network costs.

I’m still independent, and we’ll look at every available option, but Humana’s reliability is one reason they often make my shortlist when I’m helping people compare plans.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. I’m here to help with your Medicare needs.

Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period runs through December 7th, and there’s still time to make changes if you need to. If you’re unsure about your plan or just want to double-check your options, I can help you sort it out.

Why Work With an Independent Agent?

When you’re new to Medicare, it can feel like every company is shouting for your attention. The mail stacks up, the ads never stop, and it’s hard to know who’s actually looking out for you. That’s where working with an independent Medicare agent helps. I’m not tied to one company.

Here’s what that means for you:

the advice I give isn’t based on who pays me more, because all the Advantage Plan commissions are set by Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), not by the companies themselves. Every Medicare Advantage plan pays the same, and most Medicare supplement plans pay very similar commissions.

I take the time to explain how each part of Medicare works together, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement (Medigap), and Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs). Most of my clients tell me no one ever slowed down and explained it that way before.

My goal is simple

when we finish our conversation, you should feel informed, confident, and at ease about your next step. By filling out the form below you are giving me (Andrew Bennett a licensed insurance agent) permission to contact you.

How We’ll Work Together

When you call, we’ll start simple. I’ll ask about your doctors, the medicines you take, and the coverage you already have. From there, we’ll look at the available Medicare Advantage, Medi-Gap (also known as Medicare Supplements), and Prescription plans available where you live.

Some folks prefer a Medicare Supplement because it keeps things steady from year to year. Others choose a Medicare Advantage plan for extras such as dental or vision coverage. We’ll talk through what matters most to you and narrow it down together.

By the time we finish, you’ll know exactly what fits and why. There’s absolutely no pressure, just clear answers about your Medicare choices.

Understanding Your Medicare Choices

When you first look at Medicare, it can seem confusing with Parts A, B, C, and D, each with different rules and coverage. Once we review it in plain English, it quickly starts to make sense.

Original Medicare

(Parts A and B)

Medicare Parts A and B are the foundation. The help covers hospital care, doctor visits, and some basic medical needs. But it’s important to note that they don’t cover everything. With Original Medicare, there are gaps for things like prescriptions, dental care, and vision care. The biggest thing missing from traditional Medicare though is an Out-of-Pocket Maximum.

Medicare Supplement

(Medigap)

That’s where Medicare supplements come in. These supplements give your Medicare an out-of-pocket Maximum. These plans are great. They minimize your cost when you get care, but you pay a monthly premium for that benefit. If you prefer to keep the same coverage year after year and can handle the monthly premium then this might be the option for you.

Medicare Advantage

(Part C)

A Medicare Advantage plan bundles everything into one plan. This type of plan offers hospital, medical, and often dental, vision, and hearing coverage. Many people like the simplicity of having one plan instead of multiple plans you have with traditional medicare (i.e. A & B, Medi-gap, dental, and vision…that’s a lot of cards to keep in your wallet).

Prescription Drug Plans

(Part D)

If you stay with Original Medicare and a Medicare Supplement, you’ll still need a separate PDP (Prescription Drug Plan) to cover your prescriptions.

Each option has its pros and cons. The right choice depends on your health, budget, and comfort with networks. My job is to walk you through those details and compare plans from all the top carriers.

I Help My Clients Find the Best Medicare Options, and That is Often Humana

While plan benefits may vary slightly from year-to-year and region-to-region, Humana time and time again has been a go-to solution for a Medicare benefits provider. Their Part C plans (Advantage Plans) help with everything from hospital stays to routine checkups. They even offer coverage for preventative care, outpatient procedures, and medical supplies.

Thankfully, you don’t have to navigate this process alone. I’ll work with you to get you set up with the right medicare plan whether it’s through Humana or another provider. Don’t hesitate though, the open-enrollment window is closing soon.

Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late!

The Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare ends December 7th. If you’re still unsure about your Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plan, now’s the time to take a closer look.

Many people wait because they’re worried about making the wrong choice. That’s completely normal. Medicare can be confusing, and the fine print doesn’t make it any easier. But once we talk through your options, it will start to click. You’ll understand whether to choose PDP with a Medicare Supplement, or Medicare Advantage (Humana offers all three). You’ll see what fits, what doesn’t, and where you can save money or gain better coverage.

There’s no obligation and no pressure to sign anything. My goal is to help you feel good about your Medicare coverage before the window closes.
